Art Rethinks Transformation è un tavolo di confronto che vuole offrire un contributo artistico per la costruzione di visioni su questo presente e declinarle al futuro.
ART prova ad essere un punto di connessione tra luoghi diversi ma convergenti. Come è possibile mantenere il tema della “presenza” fondamentale per le arti performative ed applicate e tutto il mondo di connessioni e relazioni che lo alimenta? È plausibile immaginare modelli ibridi tra presenza e connessione virtuale, tali da implementare entrambe le funzioni senza mortificarne una a discapito dell’altra? ART non intende certo dare risposte a tali domande, ma vuole porsi come luogo di sperimentazione e di esperienza
Con ART abbiamo voluto esplorare attraverso le arti, in questo momento di crisi globale e pandemica, le potenzialità del cambiamento. Ne è nata una piattaforma per connettere creativi, esperti e artisti che abbiano voglia di riflettere sul tema del futuro e del ruolo della bellezza nel nostro progetto di futuro.

Art Rethinks Transformation is a discussion tableaiming to offer an artistic contribution for the construction of visions on this present and to apply them to the future.
ART tries to be a point of connection between different but convergent places. How is it possible to maintain the theme of the fundamental “presence” for the performing and applied arts and the whole world of connections and relationships that feeds it? Is it plausible to imagine hybrid models between presence and virtual connection, so as to implement both functions without mortifying one to the detriment of the other? ART certainly does not intend to give answers to these questions, but sets out as a place of experimentation and experience.
With ART we wanted to explore the potential for change through the arts in this time of global and pandemic crisis. The result is a virtual platform to connect creatives, experts and artists who want to reflect on the theme of the future and the role of beauty in our project for the future.

Riconosciamo solo due opzioni: andare diritti al centro o superarlo, restare all’interno del confine o oltrepassarlo. Non discuto che ci siano delle ragioni che ci portano a scegliere per l’una o l’altra ipotesi pur considerando le infinite approssimazioni e variabili, ma è certo che dobbiamo escludere che le due diverse azioni possano accadere contemporaneamente. Ebbene, se facciamo astrazione del tempo, tanto il centro che la sua periferia potranno essere toccati in un’unica mossa. Attenzione, siamo nell’ordine dell’evento e non più del fatto. Trattenere le cose all’interno dei confini del senso è la ragione di ogni sapere, ma ricordiamoci che la singolare ambizione dell’arte è invece di intercettare l’urto dell’accadere di un evento. L’opera di Pietro Fortuna scoraggia la pretesa ancora diffusa che l’arte, rilasciando i propri effluvi simbolici, possa emanciparci dai disagi del mondo, per mostrare piuttosto un’indisponibilità a essere segno di qualcosa, insistendo con la stessa pazienza che assumono le cose nel persistere nella loro evidenza.

We recognise only two options: go straight to the centre or cross it, stay inside the border or cross it. I am not arguing that there are reasons why we should choose one or the other, even considering the infinite approximations and variables, but it is certain that we must exclude that the two different actions can occur at the same time. Well, if we make abstraction of time, both the centre and its periphery can be touched in a single move. Beware, we are in the frame of the event and no more of the fact. Keeping things within the boundaries of sense is the reason for all knowledge, but let us remember that the singular ambition of art is instead of intercepting the collision of the occurrence of an event. Pietro Fortuna’s work discourages the still widespread claim that art, by releasing its symbolic scents, can emancipate us from the hardships of the world, to show rather an unwillingness to be a sign of something, insisting with the same patience that things assume in persisting in their evidence.
